| synopsis |
| Katie has made it to the top of her profession as a ballet dancer, but it wasn’t an
easy journey. One night, a mysterious Young Man brings Katie to examine her life and all
she faced to get where she is today: the opposition, heartache, bridges burned, and
people left behind. Above all else, Katie must examine the void in her heart and the
scars of the price she paid to make it in a cold, impersonal world. |

| Chris Leung |
Jessica Lo |
Chris has just one mom, one dad, one sister, and one God. He was born in Hong Kong and moved to Southern
California while still in elementary school.
Chris is ready to celebrate his 10th year with Vineyard of Harvest and is excited to be part of “The Scarlet” musical.
|
Jessica is very proud of her unique and interesting family, because they represent who she is. And who is she?
Jessica is a Christian and believes that God is always with her and guiding her, even when she takes silly
pictures and posts them on Facebook.
Jessica is currently studying psychology and social behavior at the University of California, Irvine, with a minor in education

|
| Luke Wang |
Gloria Cheng |
On weekdays, Luke is a normal, unassuming individual. On weekends, however, he becomes Jason, the cute guy with
the awesome voice and strong legs.
In his spare time, Luke studies Music at the California State University in Fullerton. Once he gets to know you, he is unafraid
to punch you randomly without prompting or reason.
|
Gloria attends the University of California, Los Angeles, yet still drags herself to Walnut for rehearsals. Her personality
makes the commute worth it for her fellow cast members, but whether it’s worth it to Gloria matters not, because she’s the main
actress and there would be no musical without her. |
|
| Andy Yen |
Ellen Chang |
| Andy Yen graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.A. in Chemistry. He proudly calls Pasadena home, where he spends his
free time swimming, playing basketball, or taking pictures of random objects. He’s also a jazz enthusiast and loves musicals,
even the one that starred Tim Curry. |
Ellen is ¼ Japanese and 4/4 Christian. She attends Cal State University, Fullerton and enjoys singing during moonlit
walks on the beach and picnics at the park. It should be noted that she always sings alone due to excessive shyness.
“The Scarlet” musical allows her the opportunity to give her best in honor of her Maker, while also seeing what happens when she sings in front of other people.

| Claire Yeh |
Stacy Wu |
Claire believes that the world is cruel, but God is real. This belief may or may not have stemmed from the
fact that she is the oldest sibling in a family of four from Taiwan. It also may or may not be related to the fact
that she came to the States at the age of 15.
Regardless of how she came to this belief, Claire still managed to graduate from the University of Southern
California with a B.S. in Accounting. She is also a very nice person.
|
Stacy is the daughter of two wonderfully supportive parents and the sister of one fashionably dressed older brother.
She’s a staunch believer in the “No Pain, No Gain” motto when it comes to anything we try to achieve.
Stacy graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.

|
| Linda Lee |
Robbie Duran |
Linda grew up in a Christian household and accepted Christ in the 8th grade. She graduated from the University of California,
Irvine, with a degree in Biology.
Performing arts has always been a major part of Linda’s life, giving her the opportunity to cross paths with many interesting figures, including Michael Ha.
|
Robbie is currently a student at Mt. San Antonio College where he studies Film and Video Production. He has written,
directed, shot, and edited several of his own projects.
He is glad to bring his talents and experience to the production of “The Scarlet.”
|
|
| Peter Yeh |
|
Jesus is Peter’s light, leading him from darkness to brightness. His generosity with his time and
effort are due to his belief that giving is happier than receiving.
Peter graduated from California State University in Fullerton. He’s also one mean paintballer.

| Sophia Chau (Director) |
Michael Ha (Producer) |
Despite being born in Hong Kong and raised with a Buddhist background, God was faithful in bringing a
revolution into Sophia’s life. After four years of persistent invitation by a friend to attend church services,
Sophia came, accepted Christ, and was baptized. Not long after, her sister and mother accepted Jesus as their
Savior as well. They’ve never looked back.
Sophia currently attends Biola University and enjoys swimming, tennis, and traveling when the opportunity
presents itself. She is still waiting for that opportunity.
|
Michael came to the United States at the age of 15 and hasn’t stopped working since. He graduated from the
Santa Monica College and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a degree in Computer Engineering.
Ten years ago, Michael loved to swim. Then production on “The Scarlet” began and that was that.

|
| Christina Kwan |
David Chang |
Kwan #3 came up with the original concept of “The Scarlet,” left for Hong Kong for a month, and came back to find her
idea mutilated beyond all recognition. Since it was too late to change anything (or at least that’s what the writer told her),
Christina laid down her rights of refusal and poured herself whole-heartedly into the production.
Christina loves God, her family, and the high school BASIC cell group. She has aspirations of becoming an international youth speaker and the marrying a certain Mr. Darcy.
|
David comes from a loving and supportive family and is an amateur writer with aspirations of becoming at least semi-pro.
He’s thankful for all that God has done in his life and looks forward to the future.
David graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Film Studies. He has yet to receive any income from his education, but at least people will assume he is smart just because he went to Berkeley.

|
| Joseph Yu |
Jane Tsai |
Joseph is from a first generation, American-born, Korean family. He was raised in a Christian home as the son of a pastor.
Joseph began his musical training at the age of five and was giving regular performances at seven years old. He’s been hailed
as the Korean Mozart, though only by his fellow cast and crew of “The Scarlet.”
Joseph attends Cal State University, Fullerton. He is currently occupied with composing, arranging, recording, and teaching music.
|
Born and raised in Taiwan, Jane immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of fourteen. Through friends
and personal experiences, she began attending Vineyard of Harvest and came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.
She graduated Cal State Fullerton with a Business Management major and Music minor. Jane is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Worship Leadership from Azusa Pacific University.

|
| Jasmine Su |
Special Thanks |
Jasmine has been passionately training in dance since the age of seven, accepted Christ when she was sixteen,
and graduated from Cal State University, Fullerton, when she was twenty-one. She’s also the type of outgoing person who
just happens to be shy.
Jasmine is very excited to have the chance to work with everyone’s God-given talents in this musical.
